"Support Needs Serious Improvement!"
I’m giving this a 1-star rating just to grab their attention. Don’t get me wrong, the software might be decent, but if the support is lacking, it overshadows everything else. Every time I call with simple questions, the reps keep me on hold forever trying to reach someone who can actually help. That’s just wasting resources. Why have someone answer calls when they don’t know anything about the product? It would be way better to connect customers directly with the experts behind the scenes. A chat feature would be a smart move for communication. Right now, I’m on hold writing this, and it’s been 28 minutes and still counting. My question was about why I can’t deduct the preparer fee from the state refund and why there’s no bank product option for this client to access their state refund. The software keeps defaulting to deduct fees from the federal refund, but the client owes federal taxes and has a state refund. If you’ve used this software, you know this is a basic question that all agents should be able to answer (clearly, they’re not even familiar with it). Finally, I got the answer I suspected all along: it’s because the client owes federal taxes. Did I really need to wait 33 minutes for that?

Seriously, hire me and train me; you’d see a noticeable improvement in your product.

"Had to get a new EFIN because of IRS issues..."
I had to obtain a new EFIN due to some negligence on the IRS's end. I reached out to my sales representative, and she asked for my ID along with my IRS details. I sent that over. The following day, someone informed me that I needed to update the info in the system since it wasn't matching, and that someone would get back to me by the end of the day. Now, on day three, I still haven't heard from anyone. They’re now requesting a bill of sale between two businesses and my articles of organization. I even provided that. Yet, there’s been no progress. At this point, I’ve told them that if they don’t resolve this by the end of the day, I want my software payment refunded right away. I’m planning to call Taxwise tomorrow to set up an account with them. This whole situation has been terrible, and I would NEVER suggest Taxslayer to anyone. They turn off their phones and don’t reply to emails. I’m gonna spread the word about this experience wherever I can.

"Aubrey Gotchy is an awesome account manager"
As long as I have Aubrey Gotchy as my account manager, I ain't going anywhere with this software. The software itself is super user-friendly, and Audrey just makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

"Aubrey Gotchy is Absolutely Incredible!!"
Hey there, I'm Tarica Pittman, and I had the pleasure of working with Aubrey Gotchy during my first tax season. Sadly, the account manager I was supposed to have for my next year isn't with the company anymore. I had a bunch of questions before I made up my mind to renew, and let me tell you, Aubrey was super helpful and addressed every single one of them. She's just fantastic—her customer service is off the charts! Aubrey is patient, detailed, and really cares about helping her clients.

"Taxslayer Pro Sales Won't Pick Up!"
I've been trying to reach the sales team at Taxslayer Pro for a whole month now!!! I’ve used their software in the past, but I recently made a switch and want to come back. I've shot off emails, left messages, and called both in the morning and afternoon. Each time, it’s either a voicemail or no response at all. This is just a crazy way to try and spend money with a company. Get it together, Taxslayer!

"Dropping my usual 5-star rating due to..."
I’m not handing out my typical 5 stars this time around since we faced a bunch of extra issues this year with tech support. They weren’t able to provide answers, and I had to push for someone who could actually assist.

"Awesome tech support!"
The tech support team is fantastic! They're always there to lend a hand. I really hope the software can provide more advanced forms, as it gets pretty tedious doing everything manually since the program doesn't support it. It'd be great to have more options for customizing letters for clients and to create quick quotes without needing to save the info in the system.

I've been using TaxSlayer Pro since 2016, and let me tell ya, their customer service is top-notch, and the technical support is just as impressive. Plus, the software itself is really solid. I ain't planning to switch to anything else. Fantastic!!!

"My Experience with TaxSlayer's Free Service"
I tried out the free version of TaxSlayer. Ever since I filed my 2020 taxes, I've reached out multiple times to have my account info removed now that everything's wrapped up, but I haven't heard back on how to make that happen. The automated reply I keep getting tells me to check the original email I used to create my account, but I don't have access to that anymore. I can still log into my TaxSlayer account, so what's the deal??? This is really, really, really disappointing service... Sure, the software was free, but I can guarantee I won't be using it again or suggesting it to anyone until I figure out how to delete my account... So, can someone please tell me how to do that?

"Don't Waste Your Cash if You're a Credit Union!"
I'm really let down!! I work at a non-profit 501c(14) credit union, and honestly, this software ain't ready for us yet! First off, I was promised that the Web Pro version would let off-site staff help with the 990 I was working on, but turns out you can only share files, not collaborate live through the web portal. Now, I've been waiting a whole week to get my 990 sorted so I can fill in the right columns and avoid the ones I'm not supposed to touch. For five business days, I've been hearing it's almost done, but still no results. Customer service is friendly and quick to respond, but their programmers are as slow as molasses in winter. Seriously, don't bother until they get their act together for non-profits!

"Had to return and share my thoughts..."
I felt it was important to come back and share my experience because if folks are gonna talk about the bad, they oughta mention when a company steps up to fix things too. That’s exactly what happened after I left my last review expressing my disappointment with the product this year. I received three calls where my complaints were taken seriously, and I got connected with a Tech Support Pro who helped tackle my issues. They also provided some extra tools to help avoid these problems in the future or at least gave me other options. I really appreciate that, so I’m giving them back those two stars. I know nothing works flawlessly all the time; that’s just how it is. What I can’t stand is being left without a solution or having to wait ages for help. But we’ve figured that out now too. So, big thanks for looking out for your customers, especially me.

"Switched to TaxSlayer from ProSeries"
I made the jump to TaxSlayer after using ProSeries. It took a bit to adjust, but I wouldn't switch back for anything. It's been over 15 years now, and I've always had great support.

"A DECADE PLUS OF SATISFACTION"
I’ve been using Taxpayer for 12 years now, and I couldn’t be happier. The program is super easy to navigate, the price is fantastic, and the phone support is just outstanding. They always go the extra mile to assist. In all my years, I’ve never chatted with anyone who wasn’t friendly and helpful.
